UPDATE!

We are excited about the Cub Scout program at the Council Camporee. The Outdoor Adventure Day is on October 10th.

I have attached 2 flyers to answer some of your questions. Please pass the flyers along to all your Packs, Leaders, Scouters and parents; via your Roundtables, listservs, email lists, newsletters, and websites. Registration for the Council Camporee is due by September 18th.

We are also looking for volunteers to help on that Saturday. We welcome your ideas and suggestions. Thanks so much.

The 2009 Council Camporee is named NAT-E-CON (NATure-Environment-CONservation) 2009. It will be held at Camp Reeves on the Occoneechee Scout Reservation (OSR) near Carthage, NC October 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2009. The Camporee will host of fun activities for Cubs, Boy Scouts and Venturers planned. Numerous state and federal agencies have been asked to share their expertise with the attendees. BELT LOOPS, ACTIVITY BADGES, MERIT BADGES, LEAVE NO TRACE, even GEOCACHING - These are just a few of the planned activities!

Our intent is to put on a program over a Friday evening through Sunday morning Council-wide event that will be greater than any Council event that either Scout or Scouter has ever attended.
